Great Lakes Loons get on track at home with 4-1 win

Loons defeat the Dayton Dragons at Dow Diamond on warm evening

The Great Lakes Loons returned to Dow Diamond after a brief road trip to open with a 4-1 win.   Taking on last place Dayton Dragons who stand at 2-9 they banged out 8 hits to get the win on a very warm evening with the game time temperature at 82 degrees.  The Loons started out on the right foot with four hits in the first inning to push across 2 runs.  

Starting pitcher Victor Gonzalez who get the win in front of 1,252 fans at the Dow.   Great Lakes would get 2 hits each from Brendon Davis and Matt Jones.   Davis would end up with all 4 rbi's in the quickly played game that saw the temperatures drop dramatically in the final couple innings.   The Loons record improves to 4-5 on the young season. 

The Loons now will face the Dragons for two more games and then face the Bowling Green Hot Rods for a 4 game week end series.   Don't forget to check out the Loons schedule for all of the promotions that they have through out the course of the season.
