The Great Lakes Loons had a much needed comeback this afternoon against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at the Dow Diamond.  The Loons trailed 3-1 going into the bottom of the ninth inning but a hit and a couple of walks lead to one run making the score 3-2.  This set the stage for Nick Dean who would come to bat with the bases loaded and only one out.  Dean stroked the second pitch a fastball down the left field line for a game winning walkoff single scoring two runs to give the Loons a 4-3 win.

Relieve pitcher Matt Campbell would end up getting the win for the Loons who raised they overall record to 56-55 on the season.  They are still fighting to get out of last place in the Eastern Division with a 18-25 record in the 2nd half.  4,137 fans were in Dow Diamond on this hot afternoon raising the season attendance mark to just over 170,000 fans.

Nick Dean would be the star of the game with his two hits from the number 9 position in the batting order but getting the key hit in the bottom of the 9th.   The Loons now go on the longest road trip of the season playing 9 games in 11 days in 3 different cities.  They return to Dow Diamond on Friday August 21st against the Dayton Dragons.
