Gypsy Jazz Guitar Hero Joscho Stephan Coming To Bay City

Acoustic Legend Plays at Arbeitor Hall on 9/12

Gypsy jazz guitar legend Joscho Stephan is coming to Bay City for a special performance on 9/12 at Arbeitor Hall (above Governor's Quarters,1304 S Wenona St), courtesty of Jim Pagel, of the Jim Pagel Jazz Trio.

The German born Stephan plays primarily modern gypsy jazz, much of it inspired by the style of Django Reinhart.  Stephan, who has playing since he was six, has toured and played with such distinguished artists as Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor.  He has released four acclaimed instrumental CDs and a live DVD, in addtion to being a regularly featured artist in the international guitar press. As Pagel stated in the press releae for the show, "We are very lucky to have a musician of this caliber playing in the area."

TIckets for the show are $20 and are available at Governor's Quarters or through Pagel.  The show starts at 7:00 PM, with a set by Pagel's Jazz Trio and followed by Stephan.  Sponsors for the event include Totally Tan, Phat Cat Guitars, Herter Music, Tru Klean and Isabella Bank.
