Loons bounce back with extra inning 4-2 victory over the Fort Wayne Tincaps

The Great Lakes Loons bounced back from a big loss last night, and answered with a win after scoring 2-runs to break a 2-2 tie in the top of the tenth for a 4-2 victory over the Fort Wayne Tincaps (San Diego Padres) in front of 6,660 fans at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne, IN tonight. 
 
Loons first baseman Nick Yarnall led off the top of the third inning with a double, then scored on an RBI-single by Gavin Lux for a 1-0 Loons lead midway through the third inning. 
 
The Tincaps answered with one run off Loons starter Leo Crawford in the bottom of the third, then touched Crawford for another run to take a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. 
 
Crawford (4.60 ERA) was replaced by Jeremiah Muhammad after giving up 2-runs on 7-hits and 1-walk, with 3-strikeouts through 7-innings. 
 
The Loons tied the game (2-2) in the top of the eighth when Yarnall led off with a walk, moved to third on a double off the bat of Saige Jenco, before scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game at 2-runs apiece. 
 
Muhammad (2-1, 2.20 ERA) finished up the night in extra innings, earning his second win of the season after allowing just 1-hit and 4-walks, with 2-strikeouts through the final 3-innings. 
 
Jenco led off the top of the tenth inning with another double, then scored the go-ahead run on a Cristian Santana RBI-single to take a 3-2 lead, before Cody Thomas ripped an RBI-single to score Santana for a 4-2 Loons lead midway through the tenth. 
 
Jenco led the Loons offense, going 2 for 4 with 1-run scored, while Starling Heredia finished 2 for 5 as well. Thomas, Santana, and Lux were each 1 for 5 with 1-RBI apiece respectively tonight also for the Loons. 
 
Yarnall was 1 for 3 with a walk and 2-runs scored, as Jeren Kendall and Connor Wong each added hits as well for the Loons. 
 
The Loons will wrap up its final road series of the year with a 7:05 pm game against the Tincaps at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne, IN tomorrow evening.
