Center Stage Theatre is thrilled to present the electrifying Broadway hit Rock of Ages on the Outdoor Stage this August. Directed and choreographed by Megan Meyer, with Myah Shelton as Assistant Director and Assistant Choreographer, and Christian Heintzelman as Music Director, this high-energy production will transport audiences back to the 1980s for an unforgettable rock 'n' roll experience.

This five-time Tony Award-nominated musical centers upon the story of a small-town girl, a city boy, and a rock 'n' roll romance on the Sunset Strip.  Aspiring rocker Drew dreams of glory while longing for Sherri, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes. When the bar where rock reigns supreme is set to be demolished by German developers, it's up to these wannabe rockers and their band of friends to save the day – and the music.

This show has captivated audiences around the world with its infectious energy and nostalgic soundtrack. Replete with an electric score, accompanied by a live rock band, this play features numeerous ‘80s rock anthems and power ballads, including: “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “I Wanna Know What Love Is,” “Here I Go Again,” “We Built This City,” “Don't Stop Believin’,” and more!

Rock of Ages is written by Chris D’Arienzo, with arrangements and orchestrations by Ethan Popp. Rock of Ages is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.

This production contains adult content and is recommended for mature audiences.

Tickets for Rock of Ages are available online at www.midlandcenter.org, by calling (989) 631-8250, or by visiting the box office at 1801 W. St. Andrews Rd., Midland MI.

Performances are scheduled for two weekends from August 7 - 9 and 14 - 16 at 8 PM.
