The Saginaw Spirit (2-10-2-1) welcome the Barrie Colts (6-8-2-0) for Military Appreciation Night at the Dow Event Center tonight.

The Spirit are trying to break a four game losing streak after a dropping a 4-2 decision to the Windsor Spitfires (11-4-0-0) at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, ON. Thursday.

If the Spirit can take away anything positive from the game Thursday it would be that they finally scored on a power play opportunity for the first time in its last 17 attempts, which has been an 'Achilles Heel' for Saginaw's special teams this season.

The Spirit are currently dead last in the OHL on the power play having only converted 4 of its 64 power play chances (in only 3 its 15 games)  this season. Hopefully, the goal in Windsor Thursday is enough to get past the mental road block plaguing the team this year.

Mike Davies and Cole Coskey scored for the Spirit while goal tender Evan Cormier turned away 29 of the 33 shots he faced in net.

The Spirit will be wearing special Military Appreciation Night jersey's when they hit the ice for a 7:05 pm face off at the Dow Event Center this evening.
