Spirit stumble on the road in 7-1 loss to Hamilton Bulldogs

The Saginaw Spirit had a tough afternoon falling to the Hamilton Bulldogs 7-1 at the First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, ON this afternoon. 
 
Hamilton jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a power play goal, before scoring another 2 goals to take a 3-0 lead after one period.
 
The Bulldogs scored another power play goal early in the second period to take a 4-0 lead at 4:53 of the second period. 
 
Spirit rookie forward Aidan Prueter (3) got the Spirit on the board with his third goal of the season with assists from Nicholas Porco and Ben Badalamenti to make it a 4-1 game at 5:11 of the second period. 
 
Hamilton added two more goals at 17:59 and 18:43 of the second period to build a 6-1 lead, chasing Evan Cormier after two periods for Cameron Lamour, who gave up the final goal midway through the third to round out the scoring.
 
Cormier stopped 25 of 31 shots in his two periods in between the pipes, while Lamour turned away 10 of the 11 shots he faced in the third period for the Spirit. 
 
The Spirit will head to Oshawa, ON for a 6:05 pm game tomorrow afternoon against the Oshawa Generals at the Tribute Communities Centre.
