One of the more noteworthy events happening this month is Benny's Bike Rally, set for June 21 - 23rd at the Midland County Fairgrounds, which will feature top-notch national, statewide, and local entertainment and add comedy, camping, stunt riders and motorcycles galore into the mix.

Spearheaded by Ben Nagel of Spoke Wheel Productions, Nagel says that his goal was to stage a big motorcycle rally in the mid-Michigan area, which of course requires beer, food & music; but more importantly, "I wanted to appeal a broad segment of the public by featuring top notch performers like Confederate Railroad and David Allan Coe, and Sponge."

Additional local acts performing include Milligram Smile, who recently gained top honors at Review's 21st Music Award Ceremony as 'Best Rock Band and Best CD release; The Steel Wheels Band, Fear Between Us All, Slippery Kitty, Born, Love Child, Whitely Morgan, The Kinkaids, The Boogie Monsters, and more.

Advance tickets for the rally are $50.00 for all three days, including exhibits, concerts and camping. Day passes will also be available for $30.00 advance and $35.00 at the gate.

With doctors shelling out $30,000 for a Harley, the image of bikers has definitely evolved over the years, and Nagel feels the Rally will serve as an excellent vehicle to solidify the cultural connection between people.  "TV shows like Southern Steel and American Chopper are definitely bringing bikes into the mainstream," he notes.

Other entertainment includes comedian Bay Lady Sue and Rhett Rotten's Wall of Death  - a motorcycle stunt show featuring wall riding; while Thursday will feature the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Bikini Pageant.

Proceeds from the rally will go to Midland Community Cancer Services, The American Red Cross and ABATE of Michigan.
