The Spirit have now won 11 of its last 14 games.....

Don't look now, but the Saginaw Spirit (14-10-3-0) are tied for fifth place in the Ontario Hockey League's western conference after having won 11 of its last 14 games following a 3-1 victory over the Niagara IceDogs (13-9-3-2) at the Dow Event Center tonight.

Trailing 6-0 late in the second period, the Spirit scored six unanswered to force OT before Coskey's heroic GWG in OT against the top ranked team in the CHL....

The Saginaw Spirit (13-10-3-0) started off a bit slow, but finished unbelievably strong, completing one of the most improbable comeback's in franchise history with six unanswered goals to tie the game (6-6) forcing overtime, where Cole Coskey (14) banged home the game-winner with 37-seconds left at 4:23 of OT with assists from Mason Kohn and Blade Jenkins for an incredible 7-6 OT victory over the Sarnia Sting (21-5-2-0) who happen to be the No. 1 ranked team in the entire 60-team Canadian Hockey League in front of 4,337 at the Dow Event Center tonight.

Goldowski was playing for the US national team development program and had been committed to play NCAA hockey at Penn State University before signing with the Spirit this afternoon.....

At a press conference inside the Dow Event Center this afternoon, Saginaw Spirit GM Dave Drinkill announced the signing of 2016 fourth round pick (64 overall) Jake Goldowski to an OHL standard player agreement.
