Bay City has taken a couple of turns as a Boomtown.  Its first peak was early; with the manors on Center Avenue still representing an era when lumber was king.  Less stately reminders of the City's more recent industrial heyday as a center for manufacturing dot the cityscape, many a shell of their former selves, if they are operating at all.

This Fall's election season will also mark the ramp up of the seemingly perpetual Presidential race, where voters will have the opportunity to return to the polls and decide if they would like to repeat the historic mandate that ushered a junior Senator into the White House in 2008.
