Calendar Girls at Bay City Players

Announcing auditions for Calendar Girls based on the Miramax motion picture by JulietteTowhidi and Tim Firth. Sunday and Tuesday, November 5th and 7th at 7:00 P.M. Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City. Performance dates are January 26 – 28 & February 2 – 4, 2018. Directed by Susan Craves. Parts available: 4 Men Ages 20 – 50. 9 Women Ages 40 – 70. Six women want to raise money for a new sofa in their hospital waiting room. Now, how do they do that? Well, there are all these hot men calendars out there, why not? Who cares if they may not be the hottest of women? The press latches on to the idea. The community can hardly wait. Success looms on the horizon until some hidden feelings surface amongst the women and “respectable” community member’s step in. Very funny, very loving, and very moving. A cheerful feel-good play: perfect for the heart of a Michigan winter. Recommended for ages 16 and up. Those auditioning will be asked to read selections from the script. Limited scripts are available for check-out from the theatre office Monday – Friday from 9 am to12 pm for a $20 refundable deposit.
