Good evening, I wanted to let your arts editors and reviewers know about an event that may interest them. This coming Sunday, December 15, at 4 PM, Concerts at First Presbyterian Saginaw (121 S. Harrison St.) is presenting a community sing-a-long concert of selections from George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. The concert is led by local professional soloists and a community choir of over forty voices leading the choruses. It will be accompanied by the 1989 Casavant pipe organ at First Presbyterian Church. The concert is devised as a festive way to bring this well-known and well-loved Christmas piece to life in the Saginaw community and also to provide a way for the community to be involved. The soloists are local singers and teachers, and the choruses—on which the audience is invited to join—will be led by this community choir of singers from various local churches, the Saginaw Choral Society, and other musicians in the area.
