Mixing It Up: The Pleasures & Pitfalls of Mixing Genres Writing Workshop

In collaboration with River Junction Poets, Dr. Gloria Nixon-John will discuss how and why she mixed memoir, poetry, and fiction to create her recent novel based on memory. She will engage participants in an exercise that will give them permission to mix it up. She will also discuss the reaction publishers and markets have to this specie of work. Poets, fiction writers and memoirists all will gain from this workshop; plus author book sales and signing. Theodore Roethke House, 1805 Gratiot, Saginaw. 10 am - Noon.
