Roethke in Love with Rosalie Riegle

Professor emerita Rosalie Riegle will discuss some of the human loves in poet Theodore Roethke's life and read from his poetry, including poems written about his much younger wife, Beatrice O'Connell, whom he married in 1953 and married a month after meeting her at Bennington College and is memorialized in his poem 'I Knew a Woman', one of the works Riegle will read and discuss.
