Musical Director Brett Mitchell Takes the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra Into New Musical Vista for the 2012-13 Concert Season

As he embarks upon his third season as conductor for the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, musical director Brett Mitchell has proven himself not only a significant asset to the Great Lakes Bay arts community, but also a worthy successor to such prior SBSO luminaries as the late Patrick Flynn and Leo Najar, each whom waved their iconoclastic batons in a manner that both re-defined the role & significance of a classical orchestra within the cultural fabric of our community as a world class artistic entity.

With music & lyrics written by Jeff Bowen and a book by Hunter Bell, this one-act musical is also a minimalist de-construction on the creative sparkle that can be ignited through friendship - both on and off the stage of life and existence that we all populate.

State Theatre Bay City - September 8th, 2012

 Peter Tork took to the stage at Bay City’s State Theatre shortly after 8pm and proceeded to give the audience a rousing performance that was bluesy, jazzed up and geared to rock the roof down.
