Donny Brown is a musical artist born & raised on Saginaw’s East Side that has traveled to heights and experienced a success many have aspired toward, but few have attained. An accomplished drummer, producer, songwriter, and vocalist, Brown cut his teeth working the clubs of Old Town and Bay City’s Midland Street back in the 1980s with groups like The Mick Furlo Band and Water 4 the Pool.

Pit & Balcony Theatre Explores the Anarchic Humor, Memorable Music, and Challenging Staging of Monty's Python's Broadway Breakthrough

Back in 1975, in a time long-long ago that much of mankind hath forgot, there was an irreverent comedy troupe from England called Monty Python’s Flying Circus that created a breakthrough film entitled Monty Python & the Holy Grail, which was a highly irreverent parody of the classic legend of King Arthur, who according to medieval histories, led the defense of Britain against Saxon invaders in the early 6th century, and developed his legendary Knights of the Round Table.

There is little argument that the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his mystical change of heart upon experiencing the human condition through the spiritual conduit of Tiny Tim as rendered in Charles Dickens’ classic ‘A Christmas Carol’ stands today as one of the most beloved and well-known tales in the lexicon of Christmas lore; and as part of their 2014-15 season, Bay City Players are presenting new twists on this timeless classic through an adaptation written by Doris Baisley in a series of holiday performances running December 5-14th.
