Mid Michigan Waste Authority will host its annual Earth Day Celebration on Sat., April 23, 2016, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square in Saginaw. This popular environmentally-themed event promises a fun-filled day for children of all ages and their families. To make the festivities even more appealing, MMWA is offering free admission to the first 400 people who bring a recyclable beverage container!

He recently made some troubling admissions in an email to the Michigan State Department of Civil Rights, that MSP evaluation policies have led to civil rights violations. The whistleblower’s claims make State Police Troopers look like gangsters milking the public, and have drawn rapid fire from the MSP establishment.

Crazy for You is a romantic love musical with a book by Ken Ludwig, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and music by George Gershwin that closes out an incredibly strong season for Bay City Players, with performances running April 22-24 and April 29-May 1st. Billed as ‘The New Gershwin Musical Comedy’, it is largely based on the songwriting team’s 1930 musical Girl Crazy, but incorporates classic Gershwin songs from several other productions as well, and won the 1992 Tony Award for Best Musical.

It is hard for me to fathom that 30 years have literally flown by since The Review presented its very first Music Awards Ceremony, hosted at historic Fordney Hotel, that featured performances by a then unknown Larry McCray, country artists Romeo Ridge, the classic jazz combo Silk, and The Mick Furlo Band, featuring drummer Donny Brown, who later went on to international fame with The Verve Pipe.​
