Great Lakes Bay En Plein Air Festival: Open Class and Student Works is on display now through August 14, 2015 as part of Art @ the Andersen and features a series of En Plein paintings by artists from across Michigan. The exhibition is on display at the Andersen Enrichment Center, 120 Ezra Rust, Saginaw. Hours are 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is free to the public.
The Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission is pleased to partner with the Saginaw Art Museum by hosting works from the Open Class and student artists following the completion of the inaugural Great Lakes Bay En Plein Air Festival on June 18, 2015. The festival included of a week of activities promoting art and culture to all ages highlighted by artists painting on location, submitting completed projects for exhibition and cash awards.
The works of 23 talented artists from across the state truly captures the beauty of the Great Lakes Bay Region by depicting scenes from Saginaw to Bay City to Midland and beyond. A variety of media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, graphite and prismacolor has been used in creating these unique works of art.
